Il gruppo dovrà affrontare diverse salite, per un totale di 3.400 metri di dislivello con due GPM e l’arrivo in salita posto a quota 1090 m.<br />La corsa ha passato il km 0 alle ore 12.57 con il gruppo forte di 179 corridori. Non partiti i dorsali n. 8 - Sivakov Pavel (Ineos Grenadiers), 12 - François Bidard (AG2R Citroen Team), 224 - Joe Dombrowski (UAE Team Emirates).<br />La nuva Maglia Azzurra è Vincenzo Albanese (Eolo-Kometa Cycling Team).<br /><br />GOOD MORNING FROM STAGE 6 OF THE GIRO D’ITALIA<br />THE ROAD GOES UP AGAIN<br />A demanding stage across the Apennines with several ascents, two GPMs,<br />and a final 15km long climb <br />Good morning from Stage 6 of the Giro d'Italia, organised by RCS Sport, and running from 8 to 30 May. The stage, 160km long, runs from Grotte di Frasassi to Ascoli Piceno (San Giacomo). It's a tricky stage with 3,400 meters of elevation gain that will take the peloton from the Frasassi Caves to Ascoli Piceno (San Giacomo), over two GPMs - one at the halfway point and one at the end, at 1090m up.<br /><br />The peloton, 179 riders strong, crossed KM 0 at 12.57.
